A programme of archaeological monitoring was undertaken at South Green, Dunmurry Road, Co. Kildare. The work was carried out intermittently between 9 August and 25 August 2021 and then continuing on 1 November 2021 to 3 December 2021 and 21 February 2022.

The monitored area consisted of two fields, partially separated by a mature hedge and partially infilled east-west orientated ditch. At the time of monitoring both fields were under improved grassland and had recently been used for pasture. Topsoil across the development area recorded a mid-brown silty clay containing modern construction waste and dump materials, between 0.3m and 0.6m in depth. Subsoil, where encountered, was recorded as a light grey-brown clay with frequent stone inclusions.
No features of archaeological significance were recorded across the development site.
