Testing was undertaken in February 2022 in response to a planning application to construct an extension to Scoil Náisiunta Naomh Eoin Baiste at Garrynadur, Lispole, Co. Kerry. The school is partially within the zone of notification of a ringfort/cashel, KE044-135. Two north-west/south-east-orientated test trenches (T1-T2) with a total lenght of c.5m were opened with a back acting 14-ton track machine utilising 1.6m wide flat grading bucket. Excavated material consisted mostly of introduced fill and a series of modern drains were discovered below the fill. No archaeological features or artefacts were found during the testing.
