Monitoring was undertaken in February 2022 with regard to the of construction of a new pole and two pole-stays at Muckenagh, Lixnaw, Co. Kerry. The new ESB pole and associated pair of stay holes were located within the limits of a denuded, largely levelled ringfort, KE015-038, in the townland of Muckenagh, c.2.6km north-west of the village of Lixnaw. The ringfort site is now captured within a modern functioning farm, local road and nearby modern detached dwelling houses. Nothing of an archaeological nature was found during the monitoring.
