Archaeological monitoring and metal detection survey were carried out at Bullaun, Co. Galway, in September 2022. Previous archaeological works at this site included pre-development testing (2020:233) and the archaeological excavation of a cluster of 16^th/17^th-century pits (2021:803).

No archaeological features were found during monitoring but a small number of artefacts were recovered during metal detection survey. The artefacts dated from the 13^th to the 20^th centuries and included three hammered silver coins, two medieval mounts, and a 17^th-century tradesman token.
