The site is characterised by a number of areas of significant overburden as well as areas of services, drains and former compound locations.
Test trenching commenced at the site on 6 December 2022 and continued for five days. A total of 15 trenches were excavated across the site measuring 1176.5 linear metres. The programme of testing confirmed the level of disturbance within the site. All trenches, with the exception of Trenches 14 and 15, identified extensive amounts of soil backfilling and made-ground across the site.
No archaeological features were identified during the course of works.
