Post-demolition archaeological monitoring took place on at intermittent basis from June to July 2022 at a mixed-use development at Belgard Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24. It was evident from an early stage that the construction of the earlier structures had reduced soil levels considerably across the site; the removal of all topsoil and plough soil, as well as some subsoil, made it unlikely that any older structural features, with the exception of the deepest of ditches, would survive. Three sherds of Leinster Cooking Ware were identified in the topsoil in Field 1; this stray find was not within any in-situ archaeological context. It is likely that the disturbance extends generally across the field. No features, finds or deposits of archaeological interest were identified.
