The archaeological potential of the north mound and the potential for an intact structural link between the house & yard and the Herculaneum Temple folly was investigated over two days, 20-21 October 2022, in damp, wet conditions. Those investigations indicated that the north mound comprised, at its deepest point, 4.2m of fill material deposited in two distinct episodes of bulk filling, both late 20th century in date. Additionally, the investigation uncovered the line of a foundation running from the rear of the House/Yard to the folly, which would have originally founded an upstanding wall.
