The client was Townmore Construction on behalf of Seabren Ltd, 42 Morehampton Road, Donnybrook, Dublin 4.

There was an archaeological condition associated with this development which required testing prior to any construction. The archaeological testing report was submitted, and monitoring and excavation were carried out under license over a 4-month period. Part of the site is within the zone of archaeological potential of RMP DU023-008—-.

The contents of both latrines were, in general, typical 18th–19th century mass-produced glass and tableware found on most urban sites containing Georgian and Victorian buildings. However, the collection still provides an insight into the suburban lifestyle of 18th–19th century Blackrock and produced an unexpectedly rare example of 19th century ceramics.
