Test excavations were undertaken in the footprint of the Glenamuck District Road Scheme in the townlands of Jamestown, Carrickmines Great, Glenamuck North, Glenamuck South, Glebe, Kiltiernan Domain, Kiltiernan, and Kingston, Co. Dublin. 144 trenches were mechanically excavated under constant archaeological supervision. Test excavations were done in two phases, October 2021 and February 2022, with combined wade (Ref. S000141) and metal-detecting surveys (Ref. R000571) of affected watercourses in the scheme. Two sites were revealed during test excavations, both located in a field in Kingston townland along the southern banks of the Loughlinstown River.
