A programme of archaeological test-trenching was carried out across the north-west portion of a site off the Glenamuck Road near Kiltiernan in Glenamuck North townland. The works were carried out as part of Phase 2 of the development. Archaeological monitoring of the Phase 1 lands to the south-east in 2021 uncovered three burnt mound sites along with a fourth burnt spread that continued beyond the limit of excavation to the south-west (Licence No. 21E0734, Excavations Ref. 2021:224).
Ten test-trenches were opened across the Phase 2 lands. Numerous drainage features were identified crisscrossing the field. No archaeology was identified.
