The undisturbed west part of the site was subject to test trenching. A total of four roughly north to south aligned test trenches were excavated measuring 255 linear metres. The trenches were excavated down to the natural. Pale brown sandy clay topsoil and sod, with a combined depth of 0.28-0.3m was removed onto the natural subsoil which consisted of a yellowish-brown silty clay, exposing no archaeological features or deposits. The remaining part of the site was disturbed previously and consisted of a car park within the north-east of the site (constructed in 2008), while the east portion of the site was disturbed recently as a result of development permitted under a separate planning permission.
No archaeological features or deposits were exposed or identified.
