Test-excavations in fulfilment of a planning condition took place on 25 February 2022 on a private dwelling site in response to planning conditions. The site is moderate in scale, c. 0.5ha in extent. There are no RMP sites within the site boundaries but two features nearby, both circular cropmarks, are intended to be added to the Record.
Three trenches were excavated across the subject area. The natural boulder clay consisted of a stony yellow and brown clay.
No features, finds, or material of archaeological significance were identified during the test excavation.
