A programme of archaeological monitoring was planned to take place within the boundaries of the subject site during an upgrade of the Wastewater Treatment works at An Tamhnaigh (Tawny), Kilcar, County Donegal. Upon arrival on site, it was clear that topsoil stripping/peat removal from the site and its associated access road had already been substantially carried out. Nothing archaeological was noted during a walkover of the previously stripped area.
