Archaeological testing of a proposed single dwelling development located within the Zone Of Notification of tower-house CL053-042 at Drummin, Ardnacrusha, Co. Clare, did not reveal any archaeological material on the development site. Topsoil and ploughsoil overlay natural subsoil, with some land drains evident. A spread of redeposited clay, material spread here during construction of nearby farm buildings, is found beneath the topsoil across the central part of the site.
