Test trenching was carried out of a small proposed holiday residential development at Teergonean, Doolin, Co. Clare. The tested area was pasture or meadow inclined gently downwards from north to south towards the Aille River. A possible earthwork, visible on aerial photographs, proved to be a natural limestone outcrop. No archaeological evidence of a presumed linear boundary was observed.
