A programme of archaeological monitoring was carried out of ground works for a prioritised water mains at Ennis, County Clare. The works took place within the historic town of Ennis (SMR no CL033-082--). The works were carried out along Parnell Street, Bank Place, Abbey Street, High Street, O’Connell Street, Station Road, and Turnpike Road.
No archaeological features were identified during the works. The stratigraphy generally comprised tarmac, gravel over a mix of disturbed soils, sand, and stones.
