An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on 23 November 2022 at the Former Northern Regional College, Fountain Street, Antrim.
Initial test trenching, under licence AE/21/053, was undertaken on 20 May 2022, where a series of 14 trenches were proposed to be excavated; only seven were excavated at that time. No archaeological material was uncovered within these trenches.
Test trenching under licence AE/22/134 was to complete the remaining test trenching at the site. Due to the large amounts of existing services only three more of the remaining proposed trenches could be safely undertaken.
No archaeological material was uncovered.
