An archaeological assessment and test excavation were carried out as part of a Request for Further Information from Westmeath County Council for a single residential development located in the townland of Lackan, County Westmeath. The development site is located partially within the zone of archaeological potential of monument WM022-009, a ringfort site. Four trenches were excavated but nothing of significance was found.
