The extension of a prefabricated building beside the main school at Scoil Mhuire, Abbeyside, Dungarvan, involved clearing a shelf in the footprint of the building. Monitored groundworks in 2020, for the first part of the building, did not penetrate imported topsoil and building debris from the 20th-century school, nor did the monitored works in 2021. The building is within the zone of archaeological potential for Abbeyside, Dungarvan.
