Conservation work has been carried out to the ruined parish church of Seskinan (WA013-034001-) under the Adopt a Monument Scheme, managed by Abarta Heritage. The church is on the site of an earlier church, of which no evidence remains, apart from eight ogham stones. During conservation work a 9th stone was uncovered by the stonemasons.
The ministerial consent was issued in relation to the laying of a gravel path along surface of the existing pathway which extends along the east and south inside the boundary ditch of the graveyard. A methodology for the path laying was discussed with the voluntary committee, which would not involve removal of any material to avoid disturbance of any potential archaeological material.
