Testing was carried out in advance of building of a private dwelling, due to the finding in the vicintiy of evidence for a horizontal mill (WA003-101). The profile of all trenches excavated was similar, with a maximum depth of 0.3m of topsoil over a sterile iron-rich boulder clay, which showed no features. The finds are early modern and may have been the domestic detritus from the cottage in the adjoining property at the north-east of the site.
