Archaeological monitoring of the replacement of two substation/kiosks in East Lane and Quay Street, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, was undertaken in December 2021. East Lane and Quay Street are within the zone of notification of the historic town of Clonmel, TS083-019.
A small cutting was excavated at East Lane and the works at Quay Street consisted of the demolition of modern walling around the kiosk and opening a small cutting at its front.
Nothing of archaeological interest and no artefacts were recovered during monitoring at the two locations in Clonmel.
