A programme of archaeological testing (test trenching) was implemented on the site of a proposed new septic system and percolation area for a dwelling house on 10 June 2021. An archaeological monument (SL003-030—-, Megalithic tomb – unclassified) is recorded within the proposed development site boundary. This site is no longer extant. A total of two test trenches, comprising 40 linear meters, were machine excavated and examined. No archaeological features, deposits or artefacts were uncovered.
