The works that were subject to archaeological monitoring consisted of both open-cut trenches and launch/receive pits for a directions drill mole unit. The open-cut trenches were generally 0.7-0.8m wide and 1m deep. The launch/receive pits had maximum dimensions of 5m long, 3.15m wide and 1.25m deep.

All open excavations were subject of archaeological monitoring. Nothing of archaeological significance was identified in any of the excavations.
