Archaeological monitoring was carried out on site located in the townland of Milltown, Dromiskin, County Louth.
The site extends across c. 3.4 hectares within the lands adjacent to the local road L1182, on the west side of M1 Drogheda Dundalk. The site consisted of two rectangular fields bounded from the east by an access road and mature hedgerow. The southern field was arable and the northern field was under grass.
Monitoring was carried out in March and May 2021.
The topsoil was removed onto the natural subsoil. Two field drains and a cultivation furrow were exposed.
No features of archaeological significance were identified and no finds were recovered.
