A programme of archaeological testing consisting of the excavation of 19 linear trenches was conducted on the footprint and hardstand of proposed turbines for a Wind Farm extension at Tullynamoyle, Co. Leitrim. In addition, the areas corresponding to the temporary compound and substation were also included in this programme. The topsoil and natural subsoil slightly differed from one location to another but shared a general compact clayey composition. Occasional evidence of agricultural activity, such as drains, plough marks or furrows were identified within some of the trenches. No features, or deposits of archaeological consequence were observed within the trenches during this programme.
