Archaeological monitoring of topsoil stripping was undertaken at a proposed residential development site on the southern side of the Dublin Road (R445) in Kilminchy townland, Co. Laois. The site measures 1.14 hectares and is located on the eastern outskirts of Portlaoise town, Co. Laois. The monitoring was carried out on 8–10 December 2021.

The topsoil on the site consisted of dark brown silty clay, measuring 0.15–0.75m in depth.
