The client, Errill Community Council, undertook to demolish a single-storey extension to rear of hall, construct a single-storey extension containing meeting room, kitchenette & toilets, replace existing roof, reorganise existing car park to rear and associated site works. The site is adjacent to National Monument 113 at Errill Community Hall, Errill, Co. Laois. Condition No. 3 specified requirement for archaeological monitoring; this took place on 4 September 2021.
It was found that ground had been extensively disturbed by preceding 20th-century construction. Natural subsoil levels were achieved throughout and no archaeology was encountered.
