Archaeological monitoring of groundworks, associated with an extension to dairy buildings, was carried out in a farmyard at Suttonsrath, Jenkinstown, Co. Kilkenny on 15 March 2021.
The development site is located in the immediate vicinity (500m radius) of 16 recorded archaeological monuments, including a cluster of 6 ring-ditches directly east of the development site, and a further cluster of 8 to the south-east.
No features, finds or deposits associated with the aforementioned recorded monuments, or with hitherto unknown archaeological activity, were revealed in the course of monitoring.
