Archaeological monitoring was undertaken with regard to the construction of a new ESB pole and conductor at Kilmore, Ballyduff, Co. Kerry. The proposed development site is located in the rear garden of an existing dwelling house within the zone of notification of a recorded monument known as the ‘Seven Churches of Kilmore’ KE009-009. A small sub-rectangular cutting was excavated using a mini-digger with rubber tracks utilising a 0.3m wide bucket. The cutting measured 2m x 0.3m and was excavated to a maximum depth of 1.8m.
