Archaeological excavation of features discovered in 2019 during archaeological testing at Kilpaddoge, Tarbert, Co. Kerry (Dunne 2019) took place in the beginning of March 2021 under an extension to the original licence. Excavated features comprised of a spread of burnt mound/fulacht material cut by an agricultural drain; fulacht material as fill in a natural depression and two smaller spreads/splodges of similarly disposed burnt mound material. All the fulacht material within the site was introduced ex situ-material used to level the ground. No artefacts were recovered during the excavation.
