Archaeological monitoring of groundworks and piling for the Ringsend Phosphorous Fixation and Recovery Project, part of the Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant (WwTP) Upgrade Project at Poolbeg, Dublin 2 was carried out.

A re-deposited clinker soil containing 20th-century bottles and pottery sherds was identified in the area of a new roadway. Archaeological monitoring of piling arisings in advance of the construction of the new phosphorus recovery facility building did not identify any materials of archaeological significance.
