Archaeological testing carried out at Ballyhanna, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal. The development works entail the construction of six dwelling houses, parking facilities and associated services. The proposed development is at the south-eastern outskirts of the Historic Town of Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal (DG107-05). There are several recorded monuments within the vicinity of the proposed development site which included DG107-119001-Church and DG107-119002-Graveyard.
Test trenching took place on 8 November 2021. Ten linear trenches were excavated across the entire development area. No finds or features of archaeological significance were noted during the programme of testing.
