Clonakilty Golf Course are applying to Cork County Council for an extension to the golf course at Lisselan Estate, Clonakilty. The area of the proposed golf course extension in Ballymacowen townland is on the southern side of the River Argideen. Eight test trenches were excavated by machine in the area of the extension to the golf course. No archaeological stratigraphy, features or artefacts were recorded in the test trenches.
