Archaeological testing was carried out within the east end of Kilgullane medieval church in advance of proposed conservation works to the south wall. Two trenches, each 3m long and 0.5m wide, were excavated to a maximum depth of 0.7m, the depth required for installation of stabilisation measures. The fills included rubble collapsed from the adjacent walls and disturbed soil with occasional fragments of human bone. No in-situ inhumations were encountered.
