Testing was undertaken at a proposed development site at Shannonpark townland Carrigaline, County Cork. These works were carried out to assess several features of limited archaeological potential, noted within the site during a programme of geophysical survey (20R0203), and to confirm the location and extent of a levelled fulacht fia (CO087-115---- ) recorded within the landholding.
A spread of burnt material associated with the levelled fulacht fia was identified and three pit-like features were also noted during testing.
