Archaeological test trenching was carried out in advance of the proposed construction of 28 houses in a 2.8ha site on the north side of Station Road, on the east edge of Lehinch village. Fifteen trenches were excavated in a rough pasture field which slopes down from north to south and is divided by a hedge with a watercourse running east to west. Nothing of archaeological interest was identified.
