Archaeological monitoring was carried out during the construction of a residential development on the south side of the L3126 Old Bunratty Road, on the west side of Bunratty village. The site, which is located just outside the western limits of the historic town, had evidently been previously stripped and disturbed, likely at the time of construction of an existing housing estate to the west and south. The observed stratigraphy was typically modern laid gravel over previously truncated glacial till. During the course of monitoring no archaeological features, deposits or artefacts were identified.
