Archaeological testing was carried out on the site of a proposed new development on the south side of Main Street in Quin village, immediately on the western bank of the River Rine. Five trenches were excavated, revealing topsoil overlaying natural subsoil. A rubble layer seen beneath the topsoil in one trench in the north-eastern corner of the site road probably related to former buildings facing onto the road. No archaeological features were observed.
