An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on 26 October 2021 and 29 November 2021.

The investigation site lay just outside of the scheduled area of the large enclosure - possible Neolithic henge - ANT066:001. Prior to any ground works being conducted a metal detector sweep was carried out across the proposed site. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered during the course of this work.

Seven test trenches were proposed within the development area. Six of these were fully excavated to the natural glacial subsoil. However, Trench 1 had to be cut short on its north-eastern side due to the presence of two large trees that are to be retained. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered in any of the excavated test trenches.

Monitoring of an access path between the old cemetery and the new development area was undertaken on 29 November 2021. Nothing of an archaeological nature was uncovered during this course of work.
