A series of three test trenches totaling 99m in length were excavated here.
The site would have originally been less than 20m from the shores of Belfast Lough, and raised beach material comprising sand, gravel and silty clay at least 2.5m deep was exposed below the topsoil.
Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered during the excavation of the trenches.
