Test trenching was carried out on 9 & 10 March 2021. No archaeological remains were recovered in Test Trenches 1-3. Trenches 4-6 contained the remains of a cobbled stone surface relating to an earlier building recorded on early OS mapping. No artefacts were recovered to give a date to the surface however the area where the cobbles stopped approximately respects the boundary of the building as shown on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey Map of the area.
