A programme of pre-development test trenching was undertaken within the boundaries of a proposed battery storage facility at Dunore Point, County Antrim. Two linear test trenches with a combined length of 120m were machine excavated within the site. A third trench (Trench 3) was excavated for a distance of 15m at a right angle between Trench 1 and 2 to determine the direction of a modern service trench carrying a sewage pipe across the proposed development site. The same service trench was also encountered in Trench 2.
Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered.
