As part of a proposed road junction upgrade, a programme of archaeological testing was carried out on 22 July 2020 using a mechanical excavator fitted with a flat grading bucket. A total of 17 test pits were excavated; one small pit of archaeological potential was identified in Test Pit 6.
The remains of a post-medieval structure are located in the eastern section of the development area. Whilst this is likely to represent a vernacular cottage of 18th- or 19th-century date, it retains some archaeological potential.
No other archaeological remains were identified during the course of works.
