The final phase of monitoring associated with a residual landfill development was undertaken between 14 September and 23 October 2020. One area of archaeological activity was identified. Located on a natural rise in the western end of the site, it comprised of an irregular-shaped area of heat-fractured stones covering an area measuring 7.5m x 7m. Prior to topsoil stripping this area was covered with thick vegetation including bushes and young trees. A north-south running furrow delimited the feature in the east while a sub-circular pit feature (0.65m x 0.5m) was located 0.4m west of the furrow.
It was recommended that this area be resolved through archaeological excavation.
