Monitoring of demolition of a shed and house (originally two terraced houses) which were in a neglected state showed the houses had been inserted into the boulder clay and no archaeological features were exposed by the clearance, with the exception of a contemporary stone-lined pit to the rear of the house nearest the remaining 4 houses on the terrace, which were built c.1900. The site is bounded at the north by a free-standing handball alley, built in 1875 and still in use.
