Archaeological testing of a single house development in Ballinulty townland, Cullen, Co. Tipperary revealed a number of ditches. Included is a curvilinear ditch that appears to represent part of the outer circuit of ringfort TS058-033 that stands on the opposite side of the road. The enclosure ditch, which was found at a depth of 0.4m below the modern ground surface, lies partially within the development site but will not be directly impacted as works in this area will all be above ground. Monitoring during construction groundworks, including topsoil stripping and removal and re-erection of an earthen road boundary bank, was recommended.
