Cashel 2 was excavated in advance of construction of the N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramoge Road Project in County Roscommon by AMS for Roscommon County Council and the Transport Infrastructure Ireland. The excavation proved two pits and a hearth, identified during Stage (i) Test Excavation and Survey Services, to be modern and of no archaeological significance.
