A total of 9 test trenches were excavated within the site with some minor alterations to the agreed Method Statement layout to preserve standing crop. A single archaeological site was recorded consisting of a thin spread of charcoal-enriched silty clay with frequent burnt stone inclusions. This was a ploughed-out fulacht fiadh (burnt spread). Within the tested area it had overall dimensions of 7m north-south x 9m.
