Archaeological testing was carried out at Windmill Hill, Co. Meath. There are three recorded monuments and one archaeological site within the study area of the development site, the nearest being a henge (ME038-011) and, at the southern end of the site, which is within the zone of notification for the three recorded monuments (ME038-010/11/32).
Testing was carried out on 8 December 2020. 8 trenches measuring 401 linear metres were mechanically investigated across the site. The only features uncovered were agricultural field drains and plough furrows. The testing revealed nothing of archaeological significance at the site of the proposed development.
